STATEMENT OF FAITH (CHRISTIAN EVANGELICAL)
We used the ECFA Statement of Faith for a starting point (modified just the first bullet):
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your
benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not
go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over
against another.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Bernie Dehler was born in 1962 into a large Catholic family (12 kids total) in Portland Oregon. He attended Catholic schools until grade 6 and beyond, when he entered the public school system. He attended college at the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) and graduated in 1984 with a four year degree in Electronics Engineering (BSEET degree).
In 1984 he started work at a computer chip company as a Technical Writer for single board computer user manuals. Since then, he has held positions in computer board design engineering, project management, and computer chip mask design. He has been a mask designer for the last 12 years.
Bernie attended Catholic mass regularly and considered himself a Catholic up to his college days. His first exposure to non-Catholic Christians was in college, watching Christian TV shows like "the 700 club" and Jim & Tammy Bakker (PTL). (Although he didn't find Jim or Tammy attractive, he was drawn by their godly casual couch discussions with other Christians-- it was so refreshing to see people discussing positive spiritual topics, and he never witnessed it growing up.) The 700 club was more useful in hearing powerful testimonies and more of an "intellectual" Christianity.) He met other Christians in college, and learned a lot by debating and studying the Bible with them. After college, he attended a "Bible" church and someone explained "The Four Spiritual Laws" to him. He immediately accepted the gospel of Christ (1985), and he's been growing ever since.
Bernie attends Luther Rice Seminary part time, and is enrolled in the Masters of Ministry program. He is taking classes through the Distance Learning department (which utilizes correspondence and internet techniques for course delivery). He is also a founding member of a Christian Employee group and has served as their Administrator for two years, and is a founding member of a Hi-tech Christian leadership group.
